Toroidal transformer

A toroidal transformer or toroidal transformer is a special type of transformer. Insulated wires are wound around a closed iron core or ferrite core. With toroidal transformers, a primary voltage is transformed into a secondary voltage. Only alternating voltage can be transformed.
The power is specified in the unit VA (VoltAmpere). Toroidal transformers are more expensive than conventional transformers, but higher efficiencies and lower stray losses can be achieved.
Especially for audio applications, e.g. in amplifier construction, these transformers are used.
Our toroidal transformers usually have symmetrical output voltages: 2x6V, 2x9V, 2x12V, 2x15V, 2x18V, 2x24V and 2x115V.
In addition to the transformers, we also offer accessories such as inrush current limiters and mounting sets in various diameters.
